Sun. Dec. 4 at 7 pm at Emmanuel U. C. – Kick off the Christmas season with music - "B-Elvis" & "Millcreek" in concert; free-will offering for the FoodBank
Thurs. Dec. 15 – "Song of Peace" concert performed by the Ernestown Secondary School choir at Emmanuel U.C., 7 pm; free-will offering for the Lion's Club Christmas Hampers
Something New for the gift giving season . . . "GIFTS with VISION". Purchases from this catalogue support special projects with our Mission &Service Partners, ranging from $15 for a child to have an appointment at a health clinic; to $100 to provide clean water for a family; to $300 for awoman to attend a leadership training workshop; lots of others in between.

  • Sat. Nov. 19Christmas Craft Sale & Tea at Emmanuel, 9 am to 3 pm -  hand-made crafts, baking, one-of-a-kind items, crafters` draw; free admission, lunch available. Call Bev Burley for information or to reserve a table ($20); 386-3802.
  • Faith Quest meets Wed. Nov. 9 at 10 am.
  • UCW meets Wed. Nov. 9 at 1 pm. All women of the congregation are welcome – fun, friendship, outreach
  • SOS Diner – Thurs. Nov. 17 at 12 pm; reserve at 354-6668
  • Donations of baked goods from the congregation for the UCW table at the Craft Sale, (Sat. Nov. 19, 9 am – 3 pm) would be gratefully received. Just bring them over that morning, or call a UCW member for pick-up.
  • Are you on PAR? You can use your current envelopes (empty) at offering time – just write PAR on the front.
  • Milk Bags wanted! – If you buy milk by the bag, please bring in the outer bags; they will be passed on to be crocheted into sleeping mats for homes in impoverished countries.
  • Sign up in the foyer to read scripture during the service and/or bring snacks for coffee time. Please don't wait to be asked – everyone's participation is needed and appreciated!

  • The Geranium Sale has been extended until May 15! Order forms are available from Peggy; $3 each; a variety of colours

  • UCW Lunch Out – Wed. June 8 at Ramekins – All women of the congregation are welcome. The regular meeting of UCW will begin at 11:30 am; those joining us for lunch only can meet to carpool from the church at 12:30
  • Sat. June 11 at 9 am – Church Garden Bed Clean-up - All available hands with shovels, brush cutters, hoes, gloves, wheelbarrows, etc are welcome. If anyone has a spare hour before June 11, that too  would be welcome.

Sun. Apr. 17 – Please come prepared to support Nathan's special initiative to raise funds for "milk and meat" which he has observed are in short supply at the Foodbank.
 
Aside from readers, hosts and snacks are needed for our Proclamation event on Good Friday & Holy Saturday. If you can spare a couple of hours or bring some goodies, please sign up in the foyer.
