§  Special opportunities to reach out: Each week of Advent, we will be taking an extra offering as a way of expressing our desire for Hope, Peace, Joy & Love in the world, and to give thanks for the blessing of these things in our lives. We will support: Dec. 2 - Mission Educ-Arte in Mexico (Steve Williams spoke about this outreach for children); Dec. 9 – Martha's Table; Dec. 16 – the Lion's Club Christmas Basket program (monetary and/or 'white' gifts); Dec. 23 – our own Good Food Box program (providing local families with fresh produce) Support your cause of choice, or support them all! Give through your offering envelope in order to receive a receipt – be sure to mark on it amounts designated for each cause.
§  Homes needed! – for the many stuffed toys on display in the foyer. Please make a donation to the Lion's Club Christmas programs and take one home with you today!

§  Shop locally: An awesome new business, "Before & After," has opened in Westbrook. Shopping there will help support a group of our church members, and they have put up a display encouraging everyone to check out Emmanuel U. C. – an invitation to join us on Sunday, with special mention of the Sharing Centre and our new children's program. Take the time to drop in and say 'hello" to Paul, Lisa and Jenny; you'll find
unique gifts, like handmade jewellery and artisan items.

§  Wed. Dec. 12 – All women of the congregation are invited to join the UCW for lunch at Ramekins; please let Janet Inglis know if you plan to attend. (carpooling from the church at 12:30 pm – the regular meeting will start at 11 am)

§  The Mitten Tree is up! Please bring mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, etc.  to decorate it, now and until Sun. Dec. 16; these items will be added to the Lion's Club Christmas Baskets.

§  Dec. 16 – "White Gift" Sunday, Junior Church Pageant, and congregational Potluck Christmas Party following the service!

§  Faith Quest meets Wed. Nov. 21 at 9 am.  

§  Donations of baked goods for the UCW Bake Table at the Craft Sale, Sat. Nov. 24 would be greatly appreciated; bring items to the church that morning or ask a UCW member about pick-up..

§  .. The UCW is also looking for 'gently used' items and gift bags for our "Touch 'n' Take for a Toonie" table. Again, all donations will be greatly appreciated. Speak to Jean Campbell after church or call her at 386-3731 for details.
